ZAP Engineering & Construction Services had the honor to help support Calportland on the Rillito cement plant upgrade this past year. The plant upgrade consisted of structural improvements to support the new cyclones and replacement of the stage 1 cyclones and rainbow ducts. ZAP was contracted to develop a detailed structural model of the tower, analysis of the existing structure, provided detailed structural engineering and design for the new cyclones & rainbow ducts, redesign of all access platforms, and miscellaneous support such as FAA lighting and lightning protection.
