ZAP worked with a client to produce engineering documentation and design for over 170 wellhead production facilities gathering and processing production from over 1,000 new horizontal wells, including: all mechanical, civil, electrical, and control deliverables necessary for construction and facility documentation records. ZAP developed a matrix type approach to scale the facilities depending on the number of wells per site. A non-site specific standard package of general documents are used for the design basis, PSV/relief system calculations, heat and material balance, controls narrative, specialty items list, data sheets and line sizing, and list. Site specific documentation includes a BOM for the purchase of equipment and materials. For over two years, ZAP has consistently produced engineering packages at a rate of approximately one package per week. At peak productivity, ZAP sustained a rate of producing four engineering packages per week. ZAP developed the engineering design of a new above ground/modular wellhead production facility that cut the construction time by more than 50 percent with mechanical construction at less than one week per site.
